A correia dentada, também conhecida como correia sincronizadora, tem a função de sincronizar o movimento da parte superior e inferior do motor. A correia dentada do motor deve ser checada quando completar 40.000 km. Conforme a condição poderá se prolongar sua troca para os 50.000 km. Após essa quilometragem, a correia perde sua eficiência e pode causar uma ruptura, que acarreta diversos estragos ao motor.
